What is the Microsoft 365 Copilot App?
The Microsoft 365 Copilot App is a newly designed experience that brings AI assistance directly into your everyday Microsoft 365 work. It brings together capabilities like Copilot Chat, Copilot Search, and Copilot Create in one place so you can ask questions, find information, and generate content across your Microsoft 365 environment.
In a demo led by Jon Friedman, Corporate Vice President of Design and Research at Microsoft, the app is shown as a way to reimagine how you work with documents, emails, and other content. Instead of jumping between multiple tools, you can use Copilot as a single, AI-powered workspace that helps you move from idea to execution more quickly.
How does Copilot Chat, Search, and Create help with daily work?
The Microsoft 365 Copilot App is designed to support common daily tasks in a more streamlined way:
- Copilot Chat lets you have a natural conversation with your work data. You can ask questions, request summaries, or get help drafting content based on your Microsoft 365 files and context.
- Copilot Search helps you quickly find the information you need across Microsoft 365. Instead of just returning files, it can help you understand and use the information, reshaping how you discover knowledge at work.
- Copilot Create supports content creation—such as outlines, drafts, or ideas—so you can move faster from a blank page to a first version you can refine.
Together, these capabilities are meant to reshape everyday workflows by reducing time spent searching, starting from scratch, or switching between apps.
